Departments are staffed by specialist emergency physicians.
All patients are triaged (assessed) and treated according to
the urgency of their condition.
Patient leaflets are available in the waiting area.
GP Referrals
These should be made by telephone and a letter should be
forwarded providing all relevant details.
Each patient is assessed on arrival in the department and an
appropriate course of action is decided upon. Patients may be transferred to other
hospitals.
